Palterton Primary School

Safeguarding

One of the most important jobs we have in school is to keep the children safe.

All adults in school have regular training to maintain and update their knowledge, awareness and understanding of keeping children safe . At school we have a thorough system to record and monitor any concerns, which means we  deal with them promptly and effectively.

The school has 2 Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) - Mrs Horsley and Mrs Dyson plus Mrs Gotteri as Safeguarding Governor.

If you ever have any safeguarding concerns about any member of the school community or need support you can speak to or contact Mrs Horsley (Headteacher headteacher@palterton.derbyshire.sch.uk ) or any member of staff.

It is a challenge to keep children safe online. We work hard to educate the children about online safety. The knowledge and skills are embedded in our curriculum and the children learn about the risks them or their friends might encounter or that exist in the real and online world.
