Palterton Primary School

Safeguarding

The second most important job we have alongside education is safeguarding - keeping our children safe..

All adults in school have regular training to maintain and update their knowledge, awareness and understanding of keeping children safe . At school we have a thorough system  to record and monitor any concerns, which means we  deal with them promptly and effectively.

The school has 2 Designated Safeguardng Leads (DSLs) - Mrs Horsley and Mrs Dyson plus Ms Liversidge  as Safeguarding Governor.

If you ever have any safeguarding concerns or need support you can speak to any member of staff.

Children need to know how to keep themselves safe so the curriculum includes a variety of topics during which the children learn about the risks them or their friends might encounter or that exist in the real and online world.
