Our School Day

To bring us inline with the correct length of the school day - 32.5 hours from morning registration to the end of the school day, from October 2023 the timings of the school day are as follows:

7:50am Breakfast Club opens (booking required)

8:45am Children are welcomed into school

8:55am Start of the school day - registration

12:00am Lunchtime

3:25pm End of the school day 

5:00pm After School Club closes (booking required)

When children start at our school they are provided with a book bag to carry reading books, their personal organiser and any letters to and from school. We encourage the children to bring a water bottle from home so they can drink water throughout the day.

Our School Uniform

Our school uniform is:

• Red or White polo shirt
• Red sweatshirt/ jumper/ fleece/ cardigan
• Grey or Black trouser/ skirt/ pinafore/ shorts
• Red and White checked dress
• Sensible, comfortable footwear should be worn in school at all times to maintain standards of health and safety.

Our P.E. kit

• Blue/ Black shorts/ joggers
• Red/ White or house coloured T shirt & sweatshirt/ hoodie
• Trainers (no plimsolls please)
• No team shirts or large brand logo

Please make sure your child's clothing is named - it really helps with finding any lost items.

Children may not wear jewellery to school, except a watch and one pair of studded earrings. Any earrings and watches must be removed before children take part in P.E. lessons.

Unbranded correctly coloured uniform is allowed to allow you to purchase uniform from where ever suits you.

We accept donations of pre-loved uniform at school which The Friends of Palterton Primary School display during the summer term transition events for you to reuse.
