Visits and Visitors

We believe that children benefit from visiting a variety of places linked to their learning. Visitors to school provide a 'rich' range of experiences which enhance the children's knowledge, skills & abilities.

The whole school made lanterns for the Bolsover Lantern Festival.

'Happy Healthy Me' Years 1 & 2 enjoyed visits from Mrs Watson to boost their health and well-being.

Whole school trip to the Derby Reach Centre to watch "The Snowman" - Classic animation with a live orchestra.

Years 3 -6 visited Cadbury World.

Years 3 & 4 saw the changes of state when melting chocolate & had the most tasty handwriting lesson ever!

Years 5 & 6 explored the history & geography of chocolate as well as which ingredients taste best in a chocolate bar.

Nisha visited school to lead each class in a dance to tell the story of Diwali

This year we were honoured to have been joined by over 100 members of the local community, current & ex service people as well as Mark Fletcher MP. The whole school led the procession through the village to the Cenotaph where we joined with Rev. Judy to lead the Remembrance service.
